Background

Ichthys LNG is ranked among the most significant oil and gas projects in the world and is operated by INPEX group companies and joint ventures.

Ichthys LNG produces 8.9 million tonnes of LNG and 1.65 million tonnes of LPG per annum, along with more than 100,000 barrels of condensate per day at peak.

It is one of the few energy projects worldwide to incorporate the whole chain of development and production: subsea, offshore, pipeline, and onshore.

The Project

APTS was contracted to provide hydrostatic testing on the Ichthys LNG project on behalf of Downer Group.

The scope of the project consisted of conducting hydrostatic testing services for the CCCP, including pre-cleaning, testing, post-cleaning and drying.

Scope of Services

  • Hydrostatic Testing
  • Pre-Cleaning
  • Testing
  • Post-Cleaning
  • Drying

Results

All testing and associated activities were completed successfully by the APTS Team, enabling the CCPP to be commissioned safely, and with a high level of confidence knowing that the systems were fit-for-purpose, and verified by a NATA endorsed contractor.
